Don Young has extensive work experience in the field of biostatistics and biometry. Don started their career as an Associate-Senior Biostatistician at Roche Palo Alto (formerly Syntex Labs) in 1986 and remained in this role until 1994. Don then joined San Jose State University in 1989 and worked in the Biostatistics and Epidemiology/Health Sciences department until 2000. From 1995 to 2000, they also worked at Clinical Biostatistics. In 2000, they became the Director of Biometry at PDL BioPharma, a position they held until 2006. Don then moved on to Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, where they worked as the Senior Director of Biometrics from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, they joined Advance Research Associates as a Principal Biostatistician and held this position until 2014. During this time, they also worked at KaloBios Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as the Head of Biometry from 2014 to 2015. Finally, in 2016, they became the Acting Global Head of Biometry at Advance Research Associates, their current role.
Don Young attended Cornell University from 1966 to 1974, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Science (MS) in Neurobiology and Behavior. Don then went on to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1974 to 1980, where they studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE).
