Nick Rust

Nick Rust has over 10 years of experience in IT and HIPAA compliance roles. Nick began their career in 2009 as a Mobile Device Administrator at IU Health Methodist Hospital, where they were the system administrator and compliance analyst for over 5,000 mobile devices. In 2013, they became a Freelance Systems Analyst specializing in HIPAA compliance and EMR software. In 2014, they joined CTI Group as a Support Engineer. In 2015, they moved to TRIMEDX as a HIPAA Compliance Analyst. In 2017, they joined KAR Auction Services, Inc. as an Enterprise Mobility Engineer. In 2018, they joined Quest Diagnostics as a Senior Security & HIPAA Compliance Analyst. In 2021, they joined Advanced Agrilytics as an IT Manager and Scanslated as a HIPAA Compliance Manager.

Nick Rust completed a Bachelor's degree in Business and IT Management from Western Governors University in 2019. Prior to that, they attended Indiana University Bloomington from 1999 to 2003, studying Religion/Religious Studies. Nick also holds several certifications, including a HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP) from (ISC)², a CompTIA Project+ from CompTIA, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) from ISACA, a CompTIA A+ ce from CompTIA, a CompTIA Network+ ce from CompTIA, and a CompTIA Security+ ce from CompTIA.
