Scientific Officer D, CAR T Cell Therapy Centre & Cgmp Cell Therapy Unit Project at Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer(ACTREC)

Albeena Nisar serves as a Scientific Officer D at the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) since May 2020, alongside roles as a DBT BioCare Scientist and Principal Investigator, focusing on the design and development of novel oncolytic vectors for treating therapeutically resistant breast cancer. Prior experience includes a position as Chief Research Officer at Tata Memorial Hospital from March 2018 to May 2021, overseeing manufacturing, R&D, analytics, and facility operations in the CAR T & Cell Therapy Centre. Albeena Nisar also held a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the ICMR-National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, where research involved developing an anti-infertility vaccine. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Biochemistry from the University of Kashmir, alongside various research and teaching roles within the same institution. Additional training in cGMP-grade clinical manufacturing was completed at the National Cancer Institute and GE Life Sciences.
