Jorge Ramos da Silva

Jorge Ramos da Silva has extensive work experience in quality management and leadership roles in various multinational companies. Jorge most recently served as the VP Global Quality at Advanced Energy, where they provided overall quality leadership and managed manufacturing locations. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of Quality at NXP Semiconductors, responsible for quality leadership and excellence programs globally. Jorge also held the position of Quality Director for Europe and Africa Region at Lear Corporation, where they provided quality leadership to 54 manufacturing locations. Jorge has also worked at Eaton Corporation, Key Plastics, Infineon AG, Continental, Delphi Automotive Systems, and Siemens in various quality management roles. Throughout their career, Jorge has consistently exhibited a drive for continuous improvement and a focus on zero defects culture.

Jorge Ramos da Silva completed their education at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa from 1978 to 1983, where they obtained a Diplom Engineer degree in Physics and Material Sciences. Jorge also pursued further education, earning a Post-degree in Finance, General from CIFAG in 1993 and a Post-Degree in Quality from the Portuguese Association for Quality from 1991 to 1992. Additionally, Jorge has obtained various certifications in fields such as business excellence assessment, ISO auditing, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and training in the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
