Sid Paral

Sid Paral has a strong background in engineering and firmware development. Sid currently works as a Principal C++ / FPGA Engineer at Advanced Energy. Prior to this, they held positions as a Senior Development Engineer at WaferPath, Inc., a Senior Staff Engineer - Embedded Software at Martin UAV (a Shield AI Company), and a Senior Firmware Engineer at Scanadu. Sid has also worked as a Sr. Embedded Systems Engineer at AOSense, Inc. and a Staff Firmware Engineer at Western Digital. Additionally, Sid has experience as a Senior Design Engineer at Verayo, a Senior Electrical Design Engineer at Aquest Systems, and a Senior Systems/Hardware Design Engineer at KLA-Tencor. Throughout their career, Sid has demonstrated expertise in areas such as firmware functionality, cryptographic security, and hardware-rooted security solutions.

Sid Paral attended Brno University of Technology in Czechoslovakia from 1984 to 1989, where they earned a MSEE degree in instrument electronics and digital signal processing.
