Sohel Rana

Sohel Rana is a Senior Application Engineer at Advanced Energy since January 2023, specializing in the design and development of fiber optic-based sensors for medical and semi-industrial applications. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Associate role at Idaho National Laboratory, focusing on modeling and fabrication of various fiber sensors, and Graduate Fellow with contributions to radiation-induced drift compensation techniques. Academic credentials include a PhD and MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Boise State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Optical Fiber from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology. Sohel Rana has also served as a Lecturer at Bangladesh University, teaching electrical engineering courses and supervising thesis work.
