Somayeh Rahimipour

Somayeh Rahimipour is an AI Technical Specialist at AMD since August 2023. Previously, Somayeh worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at System View, Inc. from April 2018 to July 2023, contributing to the development of the Visual System Integrator (VSI), a tool for embedded systems with FPGA integration. Somayeh implemented features, optimized software algorithms for SAR and STAP applications using the AMD AI Engine, and created a language-agnostic code generation template. Earlier experience includes serving as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Virginia, where Somayeh developed a simulated annealing based power pad placement algorithm that improved system MTTF, and a Design Engineer at the Malaysian Institute of Microelectronic Systems, focusing on ASIC and digital IC layout design. Somayeh holds a Ph.D. in Computer and Embedded System Engineering from University Putra Malaysia, as well as a Master's degree in Computer System Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Shahid Bahonar University.
