Fares Alzahrani

Fares Alzahrani has a diverse work experience in the petrochemical industry. Fares started their career as an intern at Eastern Petrochemical Company in 2010. Fares then joined SABIC in 2011, where they held various roles, including Polypropylene Engineer in Technology Management and PVC & PS Engineer in Technology Management. During their time at SABIC, Fares was responsible for identifying and evaluating new technologies, advising on technology choices, and coordinating relationships with licensors. Fares also contributed to competitive studies and played a key role in reducing costs by designing work processes. In 2017, Fares joined Advanced Petrochemical Company and has since held positions as Senior Business Planner, Manager of Business Development and Strategy, and currently serves as the Director of Corporate Strategy and Planning.

Fares Alzahrani completed their Bachelor of Engineering Magna Cum Laude degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering Management, and Chemistry at Vanderbilt University from 2007 to 2011. Fares then pursued a Master of Engineering Management degree in Engineering/Industrial Management at Duke University in 2016. In addition to their formal education, Fares has obtained several certifications, including Accounting Analytics from The Wharton School in June 2018, Advanced Leader Bronze from Toastmasters International in December 2015, Competent Communicator from Toastmasters International in May 2014, Strategic Planning Specialist from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) in December 2013, and Competent Leader from Toastmasters International in March 2013. Fares also holds an Engineer Intern certification from the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners, obtained in May 2011.
