Kyle Andringa has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Kyle started their career as an Intern Engineer at Boeing in 2004 and then worked as a Systems Engineer II from 2005 to 2007. Kyle later became a Senior Systems Engineer at Raytheon from 2007 to 2011.
In 2011, Andringa joined ASI by Rocket Lab as a Guidance Navigation & Control Engineer. Kyle worked in this role until 2017 when they became the Director of Technology and Product Development. In this position, they were responsible for driving the technical vision of the company and managing various aspects such as program management, business development, and customer relations.
Andringa then served as the Chief Technology Officer at ASI from May 2021 to October 2021. During this time, they were involved in all aspects of leading a profitable private aerospace company, which was later acquired by Rocket Lab.
From October 2021 to September 2022, Andringa worked as the Director of Technology, Space Systems Software at ASI by Rocket Lab. In this role, they were a key contributor and leader of a medium-sized team designing and implementing the Guidance Navigation & Control/Flight Software system for a NASA CLPS lunar lander.
Currently, Andringa holds the position of Director of Engineering, Space Systems Software at ASI by Rocket Lab. In this role, they oversee the company's Space Systems Software division and is responsible for top-level business and engineering strategy, resource management, and product development.
Kyle Andringa completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University from 2001 to 2005. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in System Science & Mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis from 2005 to 2007.
