Athar Ali

Athar Ali currently serves as the Sales Director for the Middle East & Africa at Advanced Upstream Ltd., a position held since January 2022. Prior to this role, Athar worked as an Independent Consultant specializing in well engineering and well services from August 2020 to February 2022. Athar's extensive experience includes a decade at Saudi Aramco as a Petroleum Engineering Specialist, focusing on oil and gas well production and reservoir surveillance, as well as a Production Engineer developing high-pressure gas fields. Athar's career also includes over two decades at Schlumberger, serving in various key roles, including Senior Project Manager, where responsibilities encompassed designing and installing advanced well completion systems. Athar holds a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, earned between 1982 and 1987.
