Mark Long, MS has extensive work experience in various roles related to systems engineering, technology, and project management. Mark has worked at Advantage Solutions as a Lead Systems Engineer, providing support for the Enterprise SharePoint Environment and being the System Architect of the Accounts Payable Enterprise Content Management (ECM) System. Prior to this, they had a distinguished career in the US Navy, where they served as a Lead Systems Engineer, Information Technology Project Manager, Information Security Manager, Lead Systems Engineer (again), Computer & Network Security Facilitator/Course Manager, Network Systems Administrator, and Database Administrator. In these roles, Mark has demonstrated expertise in managing and administering computer networks, ensuring the confidentiality and availability of information, and improving operational readiness. Mark has also been responsible for managing IT projects worth over $100 million, supervising security for highly sensitive equipment, and leading teams to maintain and operate communications hardware and software. Mark Long holds a Master's Degree in Information Assurance from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they completed in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Management and Information Systems from the same university in 2012. Mark's earlier education includes studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisville from 1991 to 1995. In addition to their degrees, Mark has also earned certifications as a Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft and as Security+ from CompTIA.
