April Underwood

April Underwood is a seasoned technology executive and investor with extensive experience in product development and management. Currently serving as Managing Director and Co-Founder of Adverb Ventures, Underwood leads investments in early-stage companies. Previously, Underwood has held leadership roles at prominent companies, including Chief Product Officer at Slack, where product and design organizations were developed during the company's growth, and Director of Product at Twitter, contributing to platform management as it scaled. Additional entrepreneurial experience includes founding Nearby to support local retailers during the COVID pandemic. Underwood co-founded #ANGELS, an investment collective that has backed over 150 companies, and serves on the boards of Zillow Group and Eventbrite. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
