Paul England is a Distinguished Engineer at Microsoft, where a focus on R&D in many-core computing, virtualization, and security technologies is complemented by roles as Software Architect in the office of the CTO, lead architect for NGSCB and BitLocker, and contributor to the TPM specification. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Researcher, where principles of trusted computing were developed, and at Bellcore from 1986 to 1997, where contributions to condensed matter physics, high-performance computing, and distributed systems were made as a Member of Technical Staff and District Manager. Paul England holds a PhD in Physics from Imperial College London and a degree from the University of Birmingham.
