Shawn McLeod Msmi

Shawn McLeod MSMI is a professional medical illustrator with extensive experience in the field, currently working at SymBIOtic Biomedical Communications since May 2017 and also serving as a medical illustrator for Advocacy Digital Media. In addition to these roles, Shawn has been the business owner of SymBIOtic Biomedical Communications since January 2017 and has contributed as a medical illustrator at Augusta University since August 2015. Prior to this, Shawn worked as a surgical assistant at Thousand Oaks Oral Surgery from June 2008 to 2015, gaining hands-on experience in patient care. Shawn McLeod holds a Master of Science in Medical Illustration from Augusta University and a combined Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from UC Santa Barbara. Passionate about communicating the wonders of medicine through visuals, Shawn aims to enhance education, patient understanding, and the dissemination of scientific discoveries.
