Suwan Mehra

Suwan Mehra has extensive experience in maternal and fetal medicine, currently serving as a specialist in high-risk obstetrics at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital since January 2016 and as Co-Director of the Center for Fetal Care at Advocate Children's Hospital. Mehra's role at the Center encompasses providing comprehensive services for women facing pregnancies with medical conditions. Previously held the position of Assistant Professor in Maternal Fetal Medicine from June 2014 to January 2016, focusing on managing high-risk pregnancies and offering a range of prenatal services, including ultrasound and genetics counseling. Mehra earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Maternal and Fetal Medicine from Saint Louis University, along with additional MD qualifications in Obstetrics from West Virginia University and Family Medicine from Wheeling Hospital. Education commenced with an MBBS in Medicine from Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
