Thomas A. Evans

Thomas A. Evans has a diverse and extensive work experience. Thomas A. started their career as an Assistant Attorney General at the Iowa Attorney General's Office, where they specialized in criminal appellate advocacy and represented the State in workers' compensation cases. Thomas A. then transitioned to a role as a Labor Relations Manager and later as the Director of Human Resources at Polk County, Iowa. In these positions, they managed all aspects of human resources, including labor and employee relations, risk management, benefits, and policy development.

Thomas went on to become the General Counsel for the Iowa Board of Regents, where they represented the Board and universities in complex labor and employment matters. Thomas A. also developed and administered human resources and labor relations policies for the Board. Thomas A. then joined the BrownWinick Law Firm as an Attorney, advising both private and public sector employers on labor and employment law issues.

After their time at BrownWinick, Thomas worked at Wells Fargo as an Employee Relations Consultant, providing guidance on employee relations matters. Most recently, they served as the Human Resources Director at Anderson Erickson Dairy, where they oversaw human resources operations.

Throughout their career, Thomas has demonstrated expertise in various areas of employment law, including workers' compensation, labor and employment relations, labor negotiations, and collective bargaining agreement administration. Thomas A. has strong skills in mediation, arbitration, and litigation related to employee relations.

Thomas A. Evans attended Drake University Law School from 1974 to 1977, where they obtained a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree in Law. Prior to that, from 1971 to 1974, they attended the University of New Hampshire and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and History, with honors (cum laude).
