Michael Mertens

Michael Mertens is an experienced software engineer and technical consultant with a strong background in the field of computer science. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at FOD Justitie SPF Justice since February 2024, Michael has held various roles since September 2011 at AE nv/sa. Prior to the current position, significant contributions were made at Farmad nv, GS1 Belgium & Luxembourg, Acerta, Parcify, bpost, and Wolters Kluwer Belgium in various senior development roles. A computer science graduate from KU Leuven, Michael also has a foundational education in sciences and mathematics from Heilige-Drievuldigheidscollege Leuven.
