Matthew Delany

Matthew Delany has a diverse range of work experience in the renewable energy sector. Matthew is currently the VP Business Development at Aegir Insights, a technology-driven intelligence company serving the offshore wind sector. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Advisor at the Danish Energy Agency. Matthew also served as the International Programme Director (Renewables) at Bech-Bruun and Head of Cleantech & Sustainable Urban Development at Copenhagen Capacity. Matthew has additionally held roles as a Regional Project Manager at Invest in Denmark and Copenhagen Capacity. Earlier in their career, Matthew worked at MHI Vestas Offshore Wind as a Senior Business Manager and Business Development Director. Matthew has also held positions at Vestas Offshore A/S, Vestas, UK Trade & Investment, and UKTI, British Embassy Copenhagen.

Matthew Delany completed a PwC Certificate Programme in Finance for Executives at INSEAD in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in International Business Administration & Modern languages from Copenhagen Business School between 2003 and 2005, specializing in intercultural management, branding, marketing, corporate communication, and German. Matthew began their educational journey at the University of East Anglia where they earned a BA Hons. in German with Business & Management from 1995 to 1999, focusing on German and Business Management.
