Kara KasaKaitas has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kara began their career as an Analytical Technician at Valley Products in 1996 and later moved on to work as an Account Manager/Staffing Consultant at On Assignment-Lab Support. In 2001, they joined GSK as an Analytical Chemist and then transitioned to work as a Senior Research Recruiter at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 2004. In 2008, Kara became an HR Administrator/Senior Recruiter at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and simultaneously worked as a Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Later, in 2012, they joined Aegis Sciences Corporation as a Manager of Recruitment and University Relations, eventually becoming the Director of Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development. Additionally, Kara has also volunteered for the American Chemical Society.

Kara KasaKaitas obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Mississippi University for Women between the years 1992 and 1996. Prior to that, they attended White Station High from 1988 to 1992, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
