Brunno Maradei

Brunno Maradei, CFA has over 20 years of work experience in the financial industry. Brunno started their career as an Analyst at Morgan Stanley from 1997 to 2000. From 2000 to 2004, they worked at JPMorgan Chase as an Associate, where they managed OTC derivatives operations teams and worked as a consultant on integration projects.

In 2004, Maradei joined EIRIS as Deputy Executive Director, where they served as a senior manager in ESG research and advised institutional investors on integrating ESG issues into their strategies.

From 2007 to 2015, they worked at IFC - International Finance Corporation as a Climate Business Officer, where they developed ESG index products, led projects to develop ESG research tools, and structured blended finance for solar projects in Africa.

In 2015, Maradei joined the European Investment Bank (EIB) as a Senior Investment Officer, focusing on structured finance for infrastructure projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Brunno represented EIB in investment committees of impact funds.

Since 2019, they have been working at Aegon Asset Management as the Global Head of Responsible Investment. In this role, they lead the Responsible Investment team, covering sustainability and impact research for ESG strategies and implementing sustainable finance regulations. Brunno is also a member of the Consultative Working Group of ESMA's Coordination Network on Sustainability.

Throughout their career, Maradei has gained expertise in responsible investment, ESG research, sustainable finance, and project finance, particularly in the areas of infrastructure and renewable energy.

Brunno Maradei, CFA obtained their BSc (Econ) degree in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 1997. Brunno later pursued an MBA at the London Business School from 2002 to 2004. In 2011, they obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute.
