Carlos Caspueñas Muñoz

He has a Degree in Advanced Aeronautical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, (1994, specialising in aircraft), he completed his project at ENSAE (Supaéro, Toulouse), collaborating in the final years of his studies in the SIVA programme (ETSIA-INTA).

He began working as an air traffic controller in 2000 in the Gran Canaria Control Tower where he worked as an Instructor Supervisor until moving in 2004 to the ACC in Seville. In March 2016, he was appointed Head of ATS Division for the Southern Region.

His previous work experience includes a period with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation Aeronautical Engineering Corps as Head of Airworthiness Certification / Validation Programmes, during which time he worked on the C-295, C-212-400 (primary authority) as well as various other models of transport aircraft and helicopters. He was a Spanish representative on the European CNS/ATM Steering Group and specialised in both European (JAR) and American (FAR) certification and operations regulations. He has also worked as a fixed-wing aircraft maintenance engineer at FAASA (now Pegasus Aero Group).

In 2021, he has appointed ENAIRE's Director of the Southern Region.
