Bilen Akuzum

Bilen Akuzum, Ph.D. is currently a Co-Founder and CTO at Aepnus Technology. They also hold the position of Entrepreneurial Research Fellow at Activate, focusing on launching startups to address global challenges such as climate change. Bilen has a strong research background in materials science and engineering, with experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Drexel University. Their work at H2Only Technology Inc. involved developing electrochemical desalination technologies for the agricultural industry. Additionally, Bilen has experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at Harvard University and ODTÜ, working on projects related to energy storage devices and battery materials.
