Mary Margaret Milley

Mary Margaret Milley has a diverse work experience that spans from 2009 to present. In 2009, they interned at the United States Department of Defense Public Affairs Office, where they drafted and edited communication materials, planned and executed sponsorship events, and answered Department of Defense related inquiries from the general public. In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for National Strategic Studies - Center for the Study of Chinese Military Affairs, where they researched Taiwan coastal defense capabilities, China's economic investment in Africa, South China Sea disputes and claims, and Sino-U. S. strategic military cooperation. That same year, they also interned for the International Crisis Group, where they researched Sino-Japanese military and maritime law enforcement communication hotlines and joint development in the East China Sea for an International Crisis Group publication. In 2013, they worked as a Veterans Affairs Policy Advisor for the Office of the Governor - State of Texas and as a Public Relations Manager and Public Relations Specialist for BP. In 2017, they co-founded a digital mental health company, Viyb Health LLC, while attending business school full-time. In 2020, they worked as a Facility Product Supply Sales Consultant for Cintas, a Consultant for Cohen Veterans Network, and a Video Marketer for Mighty Media Studios. Currently, they are a Business Analyst for Mapware, a pre-series A technology start-up that specializes in turning drone photography into 2D and 3D models. In this role, they bridge the communication gap between Mapware's technical staff and potential customers.

Mary Margaret Milley has an extensive education history. Mary Margaret holds a Master of Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, with a focus on healthcare and entrepreneurship studies. Mary Margaret also has a B.A. from College of the Holy Cross in Political Science and Asian Studies. Mary Margaret has also studied Mandarin and Chinese from Peking University, CET Academic Programs, and The Second City in Chicago.
