Aerial Map Imagery Post-Processing and Geo-processing Analyst at AerialSphere

Victoria Duran has held various roles in the laboratory and research fields since 2007. Victoria began their career as a Laboratory Lead Supervisor for Servicios Analíticos Físico - Químicos Ltda. (Iron Ore Chemical Laboratory) in 2007, where they were responsible for personnel Safety, Maintenance and Operation of all lab equipment, consumables supply and reports. In 2010, they joined Unilever Chile Foods Ltda. as a Laboratory Senior Analyst, where they conducted chemical analysis on food products by testing for pH, acid, salt, moisture, fat, viscosity, and brix using pH meters and titration methods. That same year, they also joined JORPA Ingeniería S.A. as a Laboratory Senior Analyst, where they learned new analysis techniques and managed the supply chain of the laboratory and participated in the certification process of integrated management system (ISO 9001 – ISO 14001 - OSHAS 18001). In 2016, Victoria began working as a Research Aide - Environmental & Resource Management at Arizona State University, where they worked on an EPA-funded international project to develop a training program for the U.S.-Mexico Border 2020. Most recently, they joined AerialSphere as an Aerial Map Imagery Post-Processing and Geo-processing Analyst in 2020, where they use company proprietary software to post-process aerial map imagery along with executing Quality Control over post-processing work performed by independent contractors. Victoria also uses commercial packages such as ArcGISPro, ArcMap and Mapbox to develop coverage maps to promote company services and analyze data processing.

Victoria Duran began their educational journey in 2000 when they earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Universidad de La Serena. In 2013, they obtained a Certificate in English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language from Arizona State University. Victoria then returned to Arizona State University in 2014 and earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Environmental and Resource Management in 2017. In 2017, they also obtained a Certificate in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) from Michigan State University.
