JC van der Walt has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. JC began their career in 2009 as a Property Sales Consultant at My Choice Properties in Cape Town, where they were responsible for prospecting potential properties, generating leads, and completing contracts. In 2010, they transitioned to Spice Telecommunications as a Sales Manager, where they managed general sales and client satisfaction. JC then moved to The Unlimited as a Sales Manager before joining Oxysmart in 2011 as a Sales Manager. In 2013, JC became the Operations Manager at Free Willy International Charters. JC then worked as a Sales Representative at InduChem from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, JC joined Interface Digital as a Sales Executive, and later that year, they joined Aerobotics as Head of Client Success. JC also served as Head of Expansion and currently holds the role of Head of Noncitrus at Aerobotics, where they utilize cutting-edge data analytics from drone aerial imagery to provide farmers with actionable intelligence for yield improvement.

JC van der Walt attended Paarl Boys High School and completed their education there in 2006. During their time at the school, they focused on accounting and geography. In 2007, they enrolled at the University of Stellenbosch, where they pursued a B Com degree. JC studied at the university until 2009, completing their second year of the program. In addition to their formal education, JC van der Walt has obtained several certifications related to online marketing and advertising. In 2016, they received certifications in Facebook Advertising Fundamentals, Google AdWords Essential Training, Google Analytics Essential Training, Instagram for Business, PowerPoint 2016 Essential Training, Advanced Branding, Advertising Fundamentals, and Online Marketing Fundamentals.
