Viet Le

Viet Le has a diverse background in mechanical engineering, primarily in the aerospace industry. Viet started their career in 2013 as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Aerospace Technologies Group, where they assisted senior engineers with modeling, drawings, and design. Viet also participated in research and development for new products and improvements, as well as prototype creation and preliminary engineering testing.

In 2015, Viet Le worked as a Contractor for a private company before returning to Aerospace Technologies Group as a Mechanical Engineer I. In this role, they were involved in interior design and conceptualization, creating design sketches, layouts, schematics, and detailed manufacturing design models using SOLIDWORKS. Viet also contributed to continuous product improvements and fabrication of rapid prototypes.

From 2018 to 2019, Viet Le held multiple positions at Aerospace Technologies Group, including Mechanical Engineer II, Product Data Management Administrator, and Mechanical Engineering Project Lead. As a Mechanical Engineer II, they contributed to the design, development, and analysis of products and systems, collaborating with multiple engineering teams, manufacturing engineers, and procurement agents. Viet also played a role in lean production and assembly, quality control, program management, and various other aspects of product development. As a Product Data Management Administrator, they were responsible for managing engineering-related data and establishing database management policies and procedures. And as a Mechanical Engineering Project Lead, they worked closely with customers to establish designs and interfaces, managed the engineering team, and oversaw testing for new product developments.

In 2021, Viet Le joined Patten Co. Inc. as a Manufacturing and Design Engineer, focusing on the design, development, and manufacturing of inflatable lifesaving equipment and airtight structures. Viet also played a key role as a liaison to the Production and Quality department, creating technical drawing packages and engineering data for quality control.

Most recently, in 2022, Viet Le returned to Aerospace Technologies Group as a Mechanical Engineer. In this role, they primarily worked on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of bespoke electro-mechanical window shades for commercial, business, and VIP aircraft. Viet also reviewed and updated engineering documents, models, and drawings for legacy projects and product support.

Viet Le's education history begins in 2005 when they attended Palm Beach Central High School and earned a High School Diploma with a field of study in Science, General. From 2007 to 2009, Viet attended Palm Beach State College and obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in General Education. They then went on to study at the University of Central Florida from 2009 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering Energy Systems.

In addition to their formal education, Viet Le has also obtained several certifications. In 2017, they completed the SOLIDWORKS Essential course at The SolidExperts, Inc. In 2018, they obtained certifications in SOLIDWORKS Product Data Management Interface and SOLIDWORKS Product Data Management Professional Admin from TriMech. Also in 2018, Viet completed the SOLIDWORKS Advanced course at The SolidExperts, Inc. Their most recent certifications include an Open Water Diver certification from PADI in 2019 and a Freshwater Fishing Lifetime License from the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission in 2022.
