Prior to that, they worked at Safran as a Product and Project Engineer in the aircraft engines field services department, where they were responsible for design and project management. François also had an internship at Altran, where they worked on future projects of Airbus. Furthermore, François had engineering projects at ISAE-SUPAERO, where they focused on the design and operation of hybrid/electric propulsion aircraft and the integration of engines within the airframe. François also worked on the Euroglider project, which involved designing an electrical powered training glider. In addition to their aerospace experience, François was a trainer for summer courses in physics at the Université catholique de Louvain.
François Farinelle began their education journey at the Université catholique de Louvain in 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Applied Sciences and Engineering. François successfully completed their degree in 2013. Following this, from 2013 to 2015, François attended the same university to obtain a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering. In 2013, they also enrolled at SUPAERO - Institut Supérieur de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace (ISAE). There, they pursued a SUPAERO Aerospace Engineer degree in Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering from 2013 to 2016. Parallel to their studies at SUPAERO, François attended HEC Paris in 2015-2016 to pursue an Innovation Management in Aviation and Aerospace Certificate sponsored by the Safran Group.
