Sebastian Mauchly

Sebastian Mauchly is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in autonomy and robotics, currently serving as a Senior Autonomy Robotics Engineer at AeroVironment since February 2021. Prior to this role, Mauchly held positions as a Systems Engineer at Progeny Systems Corporation and as a Research Engineer II at Scientific Systems, where significant contributions included developing 'FOCUS' technology for autonomous unmanned vehicles. Experience also includes designing ArrowLite, a hand-throwable UAS for military applications while at Analytical Methods, Inc., and co-founding BigTimeBeats, a website start-up. Mauchly started a career in engineering with a background in mechanical design at Cisco Systems and tutoring engineering students in technical communication. Mauchly holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
