Barom Yang

Barom (Ben) Yang currently serves as Senior Counsel at The AES Corporation, focusing on finance counsel within AES Clean Energy since March 2023. Prior to this role, Barom was an Associate at Sidley Austin LLP from February 2018 to March 2023, where expertise included project finance related to utility scale renewable energy facilities and large-scale infrastructure projects, along with commercial lending transactions. From October 2016 to February 2018, Barom worked as an Associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, specializing in SEC and CFTC investigations involving financial institutions. Barom's career began as an Administrative Specialist in the US Army from October 2009 to August 2011, serving as part of the Korean Army Augmentation to US Army (KATUSA). Barom holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University.
