Will Bell

Will Bell has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Will is currently working at Aetheros as the CTO & EVP Products. Aetheros is a networking software and hardware company that offers products globally. Will's role involves overseeing the development and operations of the company's flagship product, AOS, which is an operating system and edge computing platform for third-party IoT applications. Will also manages a suite of grid modernization applications for utilities.

Prior to joining Aetheros, Will held various leadership positions at Grid Net. Will served as the Chief Technology Officer & Chief Operating Officer from March 2015 to September 2019. Before that, they were the Chief Technology Officer & EVP Engineering from November 2012 to March 2015. Will also held the role of VP Software Engineering from February 2008 to November 2012 and Director of Software Engineering from September 2006 to February 2008.

Will's earlier work experience includes a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Silver Spring Networks from November 2003 to July 2006 and as a Senior Technical Consultant at Xerox Global Services from September 2002 to October 2003. Will also worked as a Software Engineer/DBA at SmartPipes, Inc. from January 2000 to August 2002 and as a Systems Analyst at Unisys from June 1998 to January 2000.

Will Bell studied Structural Engineering at the University of California, Davis from 1987 to 1991, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Will later pursued Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley from 1995 to 1997, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree in this field.
