Mazin Alalusi

Mazin Alalusi is an accomplished Senior Principal Laser Engineer at Aeva, Inc since 2019, specializing in the design and development of high-power, high-temperature lasers optimized for Lidar applications. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Semiconductor Laser Engineer and Senior Design Engineer at Rockley Photonics Inc., where responsibilities encompassed the design and testing of III-V/Si lasers for diverse applications. Mazin also holds extensive experience from Redfern Integrated Optics Inc. and K2 Optronics, focusing on the development of low-noise DBR-ECL lasers and high-speed DWDM technologies. With a strong educational background in Electrical Engineering and High-Speed Optoelectronics from the University of Washington and the University of Southern California, Mazin has consistently led innovative projects across various companies in the optical communications sector.
