Giridhar Murlidharan

Director, Translational Science at Affinia Therapeutics

Giridhar Murlidharan has held various roles in the scientific and academic fields since 2005. Giridhar began as a student at Sastra University in 2005. In 2009, they became a Graduate Research Assistant (MS) in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Florida. From 2011 to 2016, they held various roles at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, including PhD at the Asokan Lab, UNC Gene Therapy Center, and Teaching Assistant - Principles of Genetic Analysis. From 2016 to 2021, they held roles at Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. including Senior Scientist - II, Senior Scientist, Scientist II, and Scientist I. Giridhar currently serves as the Director of Translational Science at Affinia Therapeutics.

Giridhar Murlidharan completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Biotechnology from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy in 2009. Giridhar then went on to pursue their Master of Science (M.S.) in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida, graduating in 2011. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016.
