Vatsal Namit

Vatsal Namit has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Vatsal is currently the Head of Engineering at Affiniti, a position they assumed in Q1 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Instacart as a Senior Software Engineer from September 2019 to January 2023. At Instacart, they led the Impulse project and coordinated the implementation across teams to launch support for Impulse campaigns in IC Ads.

Before joining Instacart, Vatsal worked at Amazon from 2016 to 2019. Vatsal held various roles including Software Development Engineer II and Software Development Engineer. Notable accomplishments at Amazon include designing and developing a modular service for predicting supplier quantities, optimizing the client interface, and reducing chargeback generation time in the Vendor Performance & Chargebacks team. Vatsal also developed and launched the Vendor Performance Dashboard in multiple regions.

In addition to their industry experience, Vatsal has teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto. Vatsal was responsible for running labs and grading assignments in the 'Introduction to Computer Science' and 'Software Engineering and Design' courses.

Vatsal also has internship experience at Marin Software, where they worked as a Software Engineering Intern and developed backend automation frameworks and an engineering portal web app. Furthermore, they co-founded UofTHacks, an annual hackathon event at the University of Toronto.

Outside of work, Vatsal has served as an Undergraduate Representative on the UG Committee for Computer Science at the University of Toronto. Vatsal has also held executive positions at the University of Toronto - Game Design and Development Club and served as an Assistant Peer Mentor in the First-Year Learning Community for Computer Science.

Vatsal Namit pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto between 2011 and 2016. Following this, they obtained a High School Diploma in Computer Science from Kendriya Vidyalaya, which they attended from 2007 to 2011. In 2020 to 2021, Vatsal Namit enrolled at the Quantic School of Business and Technology to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
