Charles Folk-Cruthirds

Charles Folk-Cruthirds has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Charles started their career at TVO North America as a Property Manager, where they implemented capital improvements and exceeded budgeted income expectations. Charles also served as a Peer Trainer, providing financial reporting, leasing skills, and policy training to new management teams and existing team members nationwide.

From 2012 to 2013, Charles worked at The Feil Organization as a Property Manager, implementing capital improvements and raising occupancy rates while increasing rental rates.

Charles then joined Peoples Health in 2014 as a Decision Support Analyst, where they identified trends and cost-saving opportunities through claims data analysis. Charles also prepared executive summaries and presentations for senior staff.

Since 2016, Charles has been working at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. Charles has held several roles, including Healthcare Informatics Consultant, Healthcare Informatics Consultant II, Healthcare Informatics Relationship Manager, Analytics Manager, Senior Data Modeler, and currently serves as the Lead Data Modeler.

Throughout their career, Charles has consistently demonstrated skills in data modeling, analytics, healthcare informatics, and property management.

Charles Folk-Cruthirds completed their Master of Science in Analytics degree in Decision Sciences from Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College in 2014. Prior to that, they pursued Information Systems and Decision Sciences at Louisiana State University from 2011 to 2013. For their undergraduate education, Charles earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from The University of Texas-Pan American, which they completed from 1996 to 2005. Moreover, they participated in two French for non-francophone immersion programs at Université Laval, achieving an advanced level in 1998 and an intermediate level in 1997.

In terms of certifications, Charles obtained the Certified SAFe 5 Practitioner certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in 2020. Charles also holds the SAS 9 Base Programmer certification from the SAS Institute, obtained in 2013. Additionally, they are a Registered Yoga Teacher with a 200-hour training from Yoga Alliance, earned in 2013.
