Larry Simon, MD, MBA, FACS has a diverse work experience. Larry started their career in 2010 as a Physician specializing in General and Pediatric Otolaryngology at LSU Health Sciences Center. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Pediatric Otolaryngologist at Hebert Medical Group. In 2017, they joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana as the Medical Director, Health Services, and held various positions including Interim Senior Medical Director and Managing Medical Director for Medical Policy and Appeals. Since 2018, they have been the Medical Director for Coding and Reimbursement and also served as the Interim Senior Medical Director. Additionally, they have been involved with the American Medical Association, serving as a member of the Resource Based Relative Value Scale Update Committee and holding various roles in the CPT Editorial Panel, CPT Assistant Editorial Board, and CPT Advisory Committee.
Larry Simon, MD, MBA, FACS pursued their undergraduate education from 1995 to 1999 at Louisiana State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Larry then attended Baylor College of Medicine from 1999 to 2003, completing their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.
