Suzanne Columbus

Suzanne Columbus has extensive experience in health information technology, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Suffolk Community College since December 2009, where Suzanne contributes to workforce development programs for health IT professionals. Since March 2009, Columbus has held the position of Director of Health Information Technology at Affinity Health Plan, focusing on strategic planning and compliance with healthcare reform mandates. Previous roles include President/Consultant at Healthy NY HIT Consulting, Inc., and Senior EHR Implementation Advisor at IPRO, where significant contributions were made to CMS-funded projects and hospital education initiatives. Earlier experience includes leadership positions in project management at Hebrew Hospital Home and Netsmart Technologies, overseeing large-scale implementations and managing IT departments.
