Benjamin Renault - Ph.D.

Benjamin Renault has a diverse work experience in the medical and healthcare industry. Benjamin currently holds the position of Chief Development Officer (CDO) at Affluent Medical since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Merck Group, where they held various roles starting from August 2014 to April 2023. These roles include Director - Portfolio Management Lead, Director - Head of Partnership Operations, Associate Director - Product Line Manager, and Project Lead - Medical Devices. In their roles at Merck, Benjamin was responsible for managing portfolios, leading strategic programs, supervising cross-functional teams, driving operational excellence, and overseeing project execution. Before joining Merck Group, they worked at Medtronic as an R&D Manager - Global Project Lead, where they were responsible for managing global product development in the medical device field. Benjamin Renault holds a PhD and an MBA, and they are also a certified 6σ-Black B professional.

Benjamin Renault holds an Executive MBA in Healthcare from HEC Lausanne, which they obtained in 2021. In 2011, they achieved the Black Belt certification in 6-Sigma from Medtronic. Prior to this, Benjamin earned a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from Université de Bordeaux in 2007. Benjamin also completed a Master's degree in Chemical Process Engineering from ENSIC in 2004 and a Master's degree in Materials Engineering from Ecole Européenne d'Ingénieurs en Génie des Matériaux from 1999 to 2004. Moreover, Benjamin holds additional certifications including a Zertifikat Deutsch from Goethe-Institut e.V. in 2002 and a Certificate in English - FCE from the University of Cambridge in 2001.
