Sondra Albert

Sondra Albert is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in real estate and economic analysis. Currently serving as Chief Economist at AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust since March 2004, Sondra specializes in aggregating and analyzing commercial real estate data to identify investment opportunities and provides written commentary on real estate trends. Previous roles include teaching assistant positions at the U.S. Foreign Service and The George Washington University, where Sondra assisted in teaching various economics courses and facilitated discussion sessions. Sondra's early career includes research and analytical positions at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Institute of International Finance, and Citi, focusing on economic impacts and currency fluctuations in Latin America. Sondra holds an ABD in Economics from The George Washington University, a Master's degree in Economics from New York University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis.
