David Beard

David Beard is an experienced political research and communications professional currently serving as a Senior Political Research and Communications Coordinator at AFL-CIO since April 2014. In addition to this role, David also works with Daily Kos as a Co-host of The Downballot and as a Contributing Editor, contributing to the International Elections Digest. Previous experience includes positions as a Research Analyst with American Bridge 21st Century and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and roles as a Field Organizer for various political campaigns. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earned in 2008.
