Kayla Kavanaugh

Kayla Kavanaugh is an experienced investor currently working at Afore Capital since March 2022. Previously, Kavanaugh served as a Venture Fellow at the Michigan Venture Capital Association and as an Associate at Grand Ventures, both from June 2019 to March 2022. Kavanaugh's experience also includes a role as a Teaching Assistant in Comparative Politics at Washington University in St. Louis, and an internship at Capital Innovators, a leading accelerator, where work involved supporting pre-seed and seed-stage companies. An earlier internship at Venture For America focused on coordinating a professional development program for fellows. Kavanaugh’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & Strategy and Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis, along with a brief tenure at the University of Dayton China Institute in 2017.
