Veda Sunassee

Veda Sunassee is an accomplished leader in the education sector, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director at The African Leadership University since February 2021. Veda co-founded NiaDelta from June 2019 to January 2022 and previously held key roles at The African Leadership University, including Head of College and Director of Student Life from July 2015 to June 2019. Early career experience includes positions as Leadership & Entrepreneurship Faculty and Admissions Officer at African Leadership Academy from August 2010 to June 2015, and a Summer Associate role at Ashoka in 2009. Veda began a career in the corporate sector as a Claims Handler at British American Insurance in 2005. An alumnus of Princeton University, Veda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus on Comparative Politics and a minor in Political Economy, complemented by education at Royal College Port Louis.
