Elizabeth started off as a researcher in the area of conserving plant genetics resources through improving utilization of unpopular indigenous food species and in so doing also addressing food insecurity. She continued in the area of preserving plant genetic resources as a landscape botanist and is now passionately engaged with the issues of maternal and child health. She is keen to see to better access to services and realize relief from food insecurity. She is currently working on a project looking at the community management of malnutrition in Isiolo and Turkana counties.
