Charles Rombo

Charles Rombo is an experienced professional in the fields of blood transfusion and laboratory medicine, serving as a Certified Assessor, Board Member, and Vice President at the Africa Society for Blood Transfusion since February 2014. Additionally, Charles holds the position of ASLM Certified Auditor with the African Society for Laboratory Medicine and serves as Vice President of the Association of Kenya Medical Laboratory Assessors. From January 2010 to October 2020, Charles was the Director and National Quality and Safety Manager at the Kenya National Blood Transfusion Service. Charles began their career as the Head of the Biochemistry Section at Lamu District Hospital, where contributions included establishing and stabilizing this section. Educational qualifications include degrees in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Haematology and Blood Transfusion Science, and Health Management from Mount Kenya University and Kenya Medical Training College.
