Ariel Gakunga

Ariel Gakunga is a seasoned professional in the fields of design, multimedia production, and communications, currently serving as the Manager of Field Communications, Storytelling & Production at the African Wildlife Foundation since January 2020. Gakunga has held various roles including Video & Multimedia Production Officer and Graphics & Multimedia Design Officer at the same organization. Additionally, Gakunga is a member of the Board of Directors for Jackson Wild since September 2023 and has prior experience as a Digital Creative Designer at Sportpesa and Senior Designer at Isobar. With a robust background in design cultivated through positions as a Designer & Facilitator at Camp Winning Ways and freelance design work, Gakunga's education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Design from the University of Nairobi, a Certificate in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from the Youth Film Platform, and a Diploma in Animation and Digital Media Design from the Nairobi Institute of Technology.
