Abraham Kimani, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and FMVA®, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

CPA Abraham currently serves as the VP of Finance at Africa's Talking since January 2022. Prior to this position, they worked as a Tax Associate at the same company from January 2019 to January 2022 and as a Tax Accountant from October 2018 to January 2019.

From February 2016 to September 2018, Abraham worked as a Consultant - Tax Consulting and Advisory at Viva Africa Consulting LLP.

Before that, they were employed at Britam as a Finance & Accounts - Assistant from December 2014 to February 2016.

Abraham also gained experience in finance and grants at the Federation of Women Lawyers in Kenya (FIDA-Kenya), where they worked from April 2014 to December 2014.

Their early career included a role as a Finance & Accounts - Trainee at the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights from November 2012 to April 2013.

CPA Abraham Kimani, FMVA®, has a diverse education history that spans multiple institutions and fields of study. In 2012, they obtained a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from kasneb. Following that, in 2014, they completed their Bachelor of Business Management degree with a focus on Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from Moi University.

Abraham continued their educational pursuits and obtained an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business from ACCA in 2016. In 2018, they achieved the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from ICPAK. Subsequently, in 2019, they became a Tax Agent certified by the KRA (KENYA REVENUE AUTHORITY).

Further advancing their knowledge and skills, Abraham obtained various certifications in subsequent years. In 2020, they became a Certified Forensic Investigation Professional (CFIP) from IICFIP.INC. In 2021, they obtained the certifications of Certified Xero advisor from Xero and Professional Diploma - Project Management from The Kenya Institute of Management. Additionally, in the same year, they achieved the Certified Secretary (CS Finalist) qualification from kasneb.

In 2022, Abraham completed the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA®) program offered by Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI). CPA Abraham also participated in the McKinsey Forward Program at McKinsey & Company during the same year.

Currently, Abraham is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Accounting and Finance from the IU International University of Applied Sciences, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
