Ramesh Fernando

Ramesh Fernando is a legal professional specializing in dispute resolution, currently serving as an Associate in Arbitration and Litigation at Afridi & Angell since October 2022. Prior to this role, Ramesh held various positions at the Chambers of Geoffrey Alagaratnam, including Legal Counsel from August 2019 after being called to the Bar, and commenced as a Legal Intern in February 2017. Additionally, Ramesh contributed as a Research Assistant for the Commercial Law Reforms Sub-Committee under the Ministry of Justice in Sri Lanka from January 2021 to May 2022. Ramesh's experience includes tutoring final year undergraduate law students at the Royal Institute of Colombo in Company Law and serving as a Presidential Assistant in the Private Office of the President of Sri Lanka, where responsibilities included drafting official correspondence. Ramesh holds an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge and an LLB from the University of London, along with completing the Attorneys-at-Law Examinations at Sri Lanka Law College.
