Ben Silva

Ben Silva is an experienced union representative and political organizer with a strong background in labor relations and campaign management. Currently serving as Staff Representative II for AFT since June 2021, Ben supports multiple facilities in negotiations, grievances, and organizing. Prior roles include managing internal organizing efforts for the Alliance of Dallas Educators and serving as Campaign Manager for Julie Menin's City Council bid, where Ben successfully managed a large volunteer base and fundraising efforts. Ben's political experience includes positions with Mikie Sherrill for Congress and Biden for President, contributing to successful voter turnout initiatives and campaign strategies. A graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, History, and Spanish, Ben has demonstrated a commitment to community engagement and workforce advocacy throughout a diverse career.
