Alvin Kwong

Alvin Kwong has a long history of work experience in the healthcare industry. Alvin began their career in 2008 at Scripps Health as a Clinical Trials Research Assistant. In 2010, they took on roles at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System as a Systems Redesign Specialist, Healthcare Executives of Southern California as Chair of the Student Executive Committee, and UCLA as a Project Manager. In 2011, they were an Associate Management Consultant at Kaiser Permanente and a Junior Associate at Strategy Advantage. In 2012, they were a Project Manager and Senior Operations Analyst/Financial Analyst at Emergent Medical Associates, a Director of Innovation at GFA - Greg Facktor & Associates, Inc., and a Senior Manager of Business Intelligence. In 2013, they were an Associate at Healthcare Innovators of California. Since 2019, they have been Interim CTO and VP of Health Information Technology & Innovation and Sr. Director of Health Information Technology & Innovation at Afya.

Alvin Kwong received their Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego in 2008. Alvin then attended UCLA Fielding School of Public Health from 2009 to 2011, earning an MPH in Health Services Management. In 2015, they completed a Business Foundation at The Wharton School, focusing on Business Administration and Management, General.
