Daniel Lapato

Daniel Lapato is an accomplished professional in state affairs with extensive experience in the gas industry. Currently serving as Associate Vice President at the American Gas Association since March 2019, Daniel has held multiple senior roles, including Managing Director and Senior Director of State Affairs. Prior to this, Daniel was the Director of Government Affairs at the American Public Gas Association from January 2014 to March 2019, and also served as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Government Affairs for the American Public Gas Association Research Foundation. Daniel's career in public service includes roles at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, where responsibilities included Deputy Director of External Affairs and Executive Policy Specialist from 2007 to 2013. Daniel holds a Bachelor's degree in Soil Science and Agronomy from West Virginia University, earned between 1994 and 1998.
