Ramarao Kanneganti has a diverse and extensive work experience. Ramarao founded Aganitha Cognitive Solutions in 2018, where they serve as the Founder and CTO. Ramarao focuses on bringing computer skills in data, high-performance computing, devops, and cloud to the pharma and biotech industries, creating innovative solutions for the entire pharmaceutical life cycle.

From 2008 to 2018, Kanneganti worked at HCL, starting as the SVP and HCL Fellow. In this role, they fostered cross-technology solution offerings across the organization and defined devops and cloud strategies. Ramarao later became the Vice President of Technology for enterprise transformation services, where they were responsible for application development, integration, data strategy, and enterprise architecture. Kanneganti also led the architecture function for business development and successfully signed up several large customers.

In 2007, Kanneganti joined HCL Technologies as the AVP of Architecture Transformation Services. Ramarao headed a team of architects serving the entire group and played a crucial role in defining and planning technology strategy for their 10M+ revenue customers.

Prior to HCL Technologies, Kanneganti co-founded Aalayance in 2001, where they served as Founder and C.T.O. Ramarao oversaw hiring, training, and the development of in-house products, leading the company to growth with 200 employees.

In 1997, Kanneganti founded Savera Systems Inc. and served as the Founder and VP of Technology. Ramarao pioneered the development of the world's first B2B telecom billing on the internet. Kanneganti was involved in defining the product, developing the architecture, strategy, and successfully marketed it, leading to its adoption by 17 telecom operators.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Kanneganti worked at Bell Labs from 1994 to 1997 as an MTS, focusing on main memory databases, large-scale systems, and billing systems. During this time, they authored papers and filed patents.

Ramarao Kanneganti's education history begins with their high school education at APRS Tadikonda from 1977 to 1980. During this time, they studied a variety of subjects including 4 languages, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Social sciences.

Following their high school education, Kanneganti pursued their Inter degree at APRJC, Nagarjuna Sagar from 1980 to 1982.

In 1982, they enrolled at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras for their B.Tech. degree in Computer Science, which they completed in 1986.

After obtaining their B.Tech. degree, Kanneganti continued their academic journey at Rice University, where they pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science from 1986 to 1994.
